Tweeter was a specialty electronics stores offering high end electronics such as plasma and flat screen TVs. They had more than 100 stores in over 18 states. The company was founded in 1972 by Sandy Bloomberg.In March of 2007 the company announced that it would be closing 49 of their stores and by 2008 they closed all stores and laid off all their employees.
